FAQ
What is an Employer of Record (EOR) and do I need one?
An EOR is a company that legally employs workers on your behalf in a country where you don't have a registered entity. GoEOR handles the employment contract, payroll, social contributions, and compliance — while you manage the employee's day-to-day work. If you want to hire in Poland or the Baltics without setting up a local company, an EOR is typically the fastest and most cost-effective route.
What is the difference between EOR, AOR, and PEO?

An EOR (Employer of Record) is used when you don't have a local entity — GoEOR becomes the legal employer for your full-time hires. An AOR (Agent of Record) is similar but for independent contractors and freelancers, ensuring they are properly classified and paid. A PEO (Professional Employer Organisation) is a co-employment model suited for companies that already have a legal presence in the country but want to outsource HR, payroll, and compliance responsibilities. Not sure which fits? We'll help you work it out in a free consultation.

Which countries do you operate in?

Our EOR, AOR, and PEO services are available in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Our Payroll, Tax & Compliance, and HR Support services extend beyond these four countries — reach out to us with the specific markets you're hiring in and we'll confirm whether we can support you there.

How quickly can you onboard a new hire?

In most cases we can have a new employee set up and ready to start within a few business days. The exact timeline depends on the country, the role, and any background checks required. Because GoEOR already holds the necessary legal entities and registrations in our core markets, there's no waiting period for entity setup — we can move as fast as your candidate can.

Who is responsible for employment compliance?

Under an EOR arrangement, GoEOR takes on full legal employer responsibility — meaning we handle employment contracts, statutory benefits, social security contributions, tax filings, and local labour law compliance. You remain responsible for the employee's day-to-day work direction. This clear split is one of the key reasons companies choose the EOR model: the compliance risk sits with us, not you.

Can you run payroll in multiple currencies?

Yes. Our payroll service supports multi-currency processing, so whether your employees are paid in PLN, EUR, GBP, or another currency, we handle accurate calculation, conversion, and disbursement. We also handle the applicable local tax withholdings and statutory deductions for each country, so you receive a clean, consolidated payroll report.

Can I use just one of your services, or do I need a bundle?

Our services are fully modular. You can engage Go-EOR for EOR only, payroll only, HR support only, or any combination that makes sense for your business. Many clients start with a single service and add others as their team grows. There's no requirement to use everything — we work around what you actually need.

How do I get started with Go-EOR?

The easiest first step is to book a free call with one of our specialists. There's no commitment required for the initial conversation. You can reach us via the contact form on this page or by emailing info@go-eor.com.
